OUR PASTOR & WIFE

His name is Aaron Chancy and he grew up in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, but like many youth, left as a young teenager! His life outside of church took him to a juvenile detention center when he was 16, Jail for the first time when he was 17, and prison on a five-year sentence when he was 19. To make a long story short, God has redeemed, restored, and renewed him, and he has been in Christ since 2008.
Dr. Chancy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Ministerial Theology from Oakwood University (2016) a Masters of Divinity Degree from Andrews University (2018) and a Doctor of Ministry Degree also from Andrews University (2023).
Dr. Chancy has pastored in both Northeastern Conference from 2019-2023 (Queens, The Bronx, and Syracuse, NY), the Lake Region Conference in 2024 (Detroit metro) and currently pastors in Southwest Region Conference serving in Little Rock, and Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Dr. Chancy is married to Shackarah Chancy, who is also educated, having a Bachelors of Science (BS) and a Masters in Education (M.Ed). She is licensed to teach Biology grades 7-12, students with disabilities grades 7-12 and General Science K-12. They are a husband and wife team that believe in working together for the kingdom of God.
Dr. Chancy is a published author, writing a book on his life entitled, “JailLyfe”, published in 2020 and a book to help people transition from the streets to society entitled, “A Trail of Tears” in 2024, edited and co-authored by his lovely wife.
He is passionate about God, family, ministry and community collaborations.
His zeal is for Christ, he lives for Christ, and he has vowed to serve Christ for the rest of his life.
Lastly, his favorite text of Scripture is found in Psalm 103:14, "For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are but dust.”
